Some art can baffle us; we can not see the connection and it does not make sense. A great example is “Aphrodisiac Telephone” (Lobster Telephone), Dali, 1936-38.

I just love thinking outside the box and questioning the status quo. It challenges my mind and amuses me.

Dali: “I do not understand why, when I ask for a grilled lobster in a restaurant, I am never served a cooked telephone…” (Dali Museum, Tampa/FL).

Let’s think outside the box more often!
